What is Acne?

Acne is a disorder of the skins sebaceous glands that result in plugged pores and outbreaks of lesions. One of the most common skin diseases, over 80% of the population aged between 14 - 30 will suffer from it, regardless of gender.

What is Acne PhotoTherapy?

This is the use of Light and Heat energy to reduce the Acne bacteria within the skin.

How does it work?

LHE works by using red and green light to initiate a response within the skin which stimulates an enzyme to produce oxygen. The acne bacteria cannot live in an environment rich in oxygen and so cannot survive. LHE also uses heat which opens up the pore and speeds up this response. The heat also has a soothing effect on the inflamed tissue.

Is it Safe?

Yes. LHE Skin PhotoRejuvenation is safe. Optimal use of light and heat energy for safely treating the sensitive facial area.

Is it Painful?

LHE is painless and non-abrasive. There is no recovery time required with this treatment simply walk in and walk out after the session.

Does it take long?

A typical treatment session will take between 10 and 15 minutes. Each visit will include 2 sessions spaced a few minutes apart. The first visit will take a little longer as the consultation goes through an explanation of the treatment, what is involved and what you can expect, we discuss any factors which may influence or inhibit the treatment and perform a patch test so that you can be sure that you are getting the treatment best suited for you.

When will I see a result?

Most clients see a visible improvement by the 2nd visit.

How many sessions will I need?

A full Skin rejuvenation treatment programme can be accomplished in 3 - 6 visits.

How often are the sessions?

An interval of 1 - 2 weeks is recommended between visits for all LHE Skin PhotoRejuvenation treatments.

Is there anything I will need to avoid during the treatment?

Yes. We will discuss the things you need to avoid or be aware of during and following the treatment. The main thing to avoid is strong sunlight and sunbeds as they can affect the pigmentation in your skin.
